Stay Curious Stay Keen
Curiosity is when you start to
feel itchy about things that you may have known for several days, months or may
be years but suddenly you have this weird question that pops in your mind, what is it that makes this thing work like this, what is it that makes it react
like this, why does it look the way it is, and many other weird thought like
these pop in your mind and that’s when you start your search, a search for
answers that everybody wants to know but only a few want to get there hand
dirty and put in all their efforts to get those answers.
And the interesting part is that
once we start looking for answers and starts putting all their efforts, the thickness
of the layers of curiosity keeps shedding of and reveals all that we had never
known about.
And this is the major reason why
today we know about thing which we had never known about earlier, like starting
from the fact that everybody always thought that the earth is flat but then
came a curious person who wanted to know if that the truth or not and to
everyone’s shock what they believed was the fact was just a myth, whereas
actually the fact was that the earth was a round in shape. A scientist’s got us
a confirmation that tree’s and plant’s are living things and they also live,
breathe and eat like human beings.
What is this thing about is there
in everybody is it something natural or is it like a psychological disorder
whereby a person feels the urge to know more and more, more and more and is not
satisfied with what is already known.
And the reason I say so, is
because I have personally observed it on a personal and a generic level as
well. And what is interesting is that how intense it gets when it gets onto
someone. Sometime its for good reasons and sometimes it is for bad reasons, a
very good examples can be quoted to explain this.
A person, who has a habit of peeping into
everybody else’s lives, constantly makes all the efforts to satisfy this urge
of his. What is this urge is it a feeling, yes it is it’s a feeling of curiosity.
This kind of insecurity is not generally good.
And then there is curiosity to
know more wherein people get into the details of each and everything and find
out everything about anything.
All in all what I believe is that
what matters is people make the best out of this feeling of curiosity for good
purposes, like people like Einstein, Mr B.R Ambedkar did and many others did
and because of this feeling of theirs today world is like the way it is today.
Civilizations have grown, prospered and developed because of this feeling.
If I were to quote it I would say
it’s basically a fuel that drives a civilization towards growth and success.
